Worship

This evening, we were joined by Matthew & Laura, part of Sara and Paul's family. They live in Nashville and joined us to lead worship this evening.
That's Matthew and Laura on the right.
Matthew led us in a few songs and Jeff Curtis shared with us about the importance of our relationship with God and how that should be reflected in our relationships with others.

Then Matthew spoke about a ministry of his church called "IG BOK."

It stands for "It's Gonna Be OK." It's a ministry born in here in Nashville. From their website: "God’s “o.k.” doesn’t mean that the cancer will be healed, the relationship fully restored, the physical pain or emotional ache will go away in this life. It means that because He has entered and overcome our brokenness…we can live this life with real hope — a hope that knows one day everything will be set right forever in the life to come." (Click here to read all about it.)

We ended the evening singing this song "God of This City" by Chris Tomlin. It's a great song, so I thought I'd share it with you here!

You can also check out a different, official version by Tomlin here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d61LamkXfwk
